Oundle School is a special community for children, parents, teachers and residents of the same name in the heart of England. Oundle is distinguished by rich and diverse range of opportunities available to students and the fact that is among the 3 largest boarding schools in the UK. Smaller schools simply cannot compete with the diversity and richness of experiences offered by Oundle, coupled with an environment in which each individual is valued and helped to maximize their potential. As states and school dean, Charles Bush,” Quite simply Oundle offers more”.
School history begins in 1556 when Sir William Laxton, Lord Mayor of London, has re-established the old Oundle Grammar School, whose student had. In 1876, the school was divided into two parts: Laxton Grammar School, addressed to city residents and Oundle School pupils in surrounding areas.
To mark the new millennium and the inherent desire for modernization, the school board decided to reunite the two schools under the common name Oundle School.
The school is situated in the town of the same name, an English town in its purest essence. School buildings are scattered throughout the city, which is, moreover, an expanded campus of the school. The subtle interplay-city school creates a sense of belonging to a community, leading to the development of civic responsibility and tolerance towards others, practician important values for each student that wants a full boarding experience.
